Replaced the thermostat, vacuum filled the system with new Motorcraft coolant, and replaced the cylinder head temperature sensor. Using an OBD Bluetooth adapter after 30 + minutes of driving the engine temperature never gets above 200 F. I thought the optimum temperature for the FEH vehicle was around 210.
Thoughts on what else it could be.
Thanks

Good afternoon,

What temperature thermostat did you install? The book calls for 218 degrees for the hybrid.

It sounds like you have the wrong thermostat in the car. The temperature is too low.

I got the one in the attached photo. RT1193 Motorcraft OEM, which is what RockAuto indicates for a 2009 Escape hybrid. The one I removed is identical to the one installed.

The Stant one is what Alldata calls for. That is the higher temperature one I sent from Rock Auto.

Roy, that is interesting that AllData calls for the stant version. It looks like it has a sensor on the housing which would have nothing to plug into on the vehicle listed above per the install sheet you attached.

Yes, it does not say Stant specifically, it says the temperature required for the thermostat.
