Sure enough, the wires on the oxygen sensor appeared to be melted. I purchased a new sensor and replaced it, but the light is still on with the same error code. Will this light reset itself? Or is there a way to reset it?

If the check engine light is still on the code is most likely still active. If that is the case then there may still be an issue.

If you are not sure if it is active you can try and disconnect the battery for 10 minutes which will wipe the memory. However, if the code returns then you still have an issue and I suspect you have more melted wires.

I attached the testing for this code if it returns. Let me know if you have questions. Thanks
