Oh gosh, I pulled the throttle body to clean it, took off the idle control valve to clean it and did not put the idle air control valve gasket on by accident. Reassembled, cranked car, lots of white smoke and couldn't keep water in the radiator. Obviously going into the intake. Have now reassembled with the gasket. What should I do about the water? It made a bit of a clunk sound when I popped the key.

Good afternoon.

You may have locked the motor from the water. It cannot be compressed.

I would remove the spark plugs and crank the engine until all the water is out of the cylinders.

Then install the plugs and start the engine. It will smoke until all the water is burned off. It could take about half an hour or more.

Thanks Roy. Did it. Spins freely now but wont crank. Going to let it sit tonight. Change the oil in the morning and try it again.
