I have a 92 olds toronado trofeo w/console shift. I'm trying to remove the ignition switch from the lower steering column. I have evrything disconected, but can't remove it because there's a actuator mounted on the ignition switch. A cable from actuator runs back an around to shift console. How do I get the actuator off the ignition switch? I have a 92 olds service manual for my car and niether the actuator or the cable are shown.

My software doesnt show it either. Can you see how it is mounted to the column or the switch?Sounds like the shift lock to keep it from being taken out of park

Is it possible for you to upload a picture of what you are dealing with?
