What all is involved in changing the thermostat? What all has to be removed and just how hard is it? What would be the average charge to have it done by a mechanic?
Thank you Darl Mills

Dealer repair costs would be around $150 - $175 including labor and parts.

To replace the thermostat you start by removing the air cleaner and duct assembly. Then drain coolant until its below the thermostat. Remove crossover exhaust pipe. Remove radiator hose from thermostat housing. Remove housing bolts and clean any sealer from bolt threads. Remove housing and gasket then remove thermostat and clean mating surfaces to prep for installation.
