1993 Oldsmobile Silhouette hood release cable

From under the car, look up to where the hood latch assembly is. On my Silhouette (91), there is a hole a little bigger than a half dollar. If you can reach up in there with a finger or a bent stiff rod or screwdriver and find the latch, just push it and that should pop the hood. It takes patience and some time, and you might have to remove the deflector panel under the bumper or a plastic panel to get to it. It helps to get the car off the ground, either on ramps or jack stands (not to mention to have long arms). Good luck!
