I have a 94 oldsmobile cutlass supreme with 180000+ mileage. The engine is a v6 3.1liter. I have a lot of white smoke coming from my exhaust when I give it some gas. The engine knocks a little and it sounds different when I start the car. When I first noticed the problem I saw what appeared to be steam coming from the back of my engine under the hood. What could possibly be wrong. I suspected it to be a blown head gasket, but my cylinder block may also be cracked. What do you think is the problem? Please help me.

If it knocks a little, you could also have a piston problem.
A compression test could show somwthing.
