I have been having a problem with the fuel pump on this car. I changed the pump about a year ago. The car will fire and start in park. But then sputter and die. I have checked to see if the pumo is running when the key is turned and it doesn't. My question is. Do I change the pump again or is it something more. Had friend look at it. He thought it might be a relay but it wasn't. I origanally got it running by banging on the tank while the key is in the on position. She ran for over a week after that. Now I am back to a quarter tank and no fuel delivery. I need to know that I am not missing something here. Anyone with input is welcome to answer.

If you have to bang it to bring it back alive-the problem is within the pump-recheck.
