Engine Performance problem
2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 200K miles

After a 6 hour run on the highway with this Olds, and everything running fine, upon returning home and first restart engine has misfire and about 20% loss of power. Only other time I can recall exact symptons was when the ECM on my 94 Sunbird was relearning after disconnecting battery. Tried same procedure with no luck on the Olds.

Any idea where the best place to start T'shoot?

Thanks for any help

Engine running rough or misfiring can be caused by the following:

1. Defective spark plug.
2. Inadequate spark/coil, defective spark plug wire.
3. Lack of compression
4. False air leakage.
5. Faulty fuel injectors.
6. Insufficient fuel pressure.
7. Contaminated fuel.
8. EGR valve that is leaking.
9. Oxygen sensors.
