I have a 94 Olds 88 LSS 3.8L VIN Eng. Code "L". The check engine light came on and I got a Throttle Position Sensor Low code. I replaced the TPS and cleared the code and checked for any other problems and it came up clean. When I started the car, my climate control was dead except for an intermittent slow flash of dashes. No fan speed, nothing except for the dashes. Could this be an ECM or PROM problem? I have disconnected the battery cables for hours and nothing. I have read all about this and tried holding down the on/off and temp buttons at the same time and nothing.

Hello and thanks for donating

You can actually scan the climate control system with a Tech 1 scan tester. The climate control system is made up of several sensors, any one of which could have failed. It is unlikely that the PCM is at fault if the climate control system is all that is inoperable. Perhaps it could be a fault with the climate control assembly itself. A scan of the system would be the best place to start.
