My car seems to not want to accelerate if I stay at one speed for a while. Can happen at any speed mostly when I’m in the city but it has been starting to do it on the highway as well. When this happens the rpms will drop then not want to go above 2000 rpm. I brought it in to get the trany looked at and they drove it and it did not act up. They changed the filter and fluid and that looked normal. So I was wondering what could be causing this. Is this a sign that the trany might be ready to go soon?

Hi:
I don't think it has to do with the trans. Has the check engine light ever come on? Also, check the catylatic converter to make sure it's not starting to plug.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
