1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass Front Wheel Drive Automatic 150000 miles

When the weather is very hot outside, the engine will just shut off. It starts like it wont take gas then just dies. If you wait for a few minutes it will start back then do the same thing again. Last summer is when it started and I took it to the shop and they did something to the fuel system- not sure what. It drove fine during the winter and now it is happening again. I live 15 miles from work and it will cut off 3-4 times before I get home in the afternoon. Any ideas? No one seems to be able to help.

During that 10 minutes or so that it doesn't start, have you checked for spark and fuel to the engine? One is most likely missing. I need to know which is missing to properly direct you. It could be a weak fuel pump, bad ignition module.
