1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass starts but won't come off idle

Idles rough- won't come off idle without dying -
I replaced fuel filter, pump pumps up and stops when key is turned on
Car will speed up some when Throttle posistion sensor is unpluged

You may have vacuum leak. I would also check the IAC motor.
