My 1989 Olds has all power windows and locks. When I put the passenger side window down the other day it stopped working and will not go up. It will continue to go down but does not seem to be getting much, if any, power to the motor. All three of the other windows are fully functional. Is there a way that I can manually get the window up without causing too much harm to the internal workings? I am not concerned about it being functional going forward, I just want to get the window up so I can survive the winter without having to resort to a trash bag covering the opening. Thanks!

If you can't just pull it up by hand, remove the trim and door panel, remove the motor, you can get rebuilds for under 100.00, and either replace the motor, or pull the glass up, or check for power at the motor connector, if there is power and the motor won't work and you cant pull up the glass remove the motor and pull the glass up. Then prop it with wood, or put the old motor back in to hold it up.
