Steering problem
1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

help I cant find the tension adjustment for the power steering belt to go on and it sure wont stertch can anyone tell me where the tension bolts are located or how to move it to get the belt on

Behind the power steering pump down low there is a adjusting bolt. Also on the front of the pump is the other bolt. Be gentle when moving pump. Dont pry real hard on it.

I see two bolts on the front of the pump but they are behind the pulley I dont think I can get the pulley off are those the bolts? Or are they the blots that attach to the arm that goes to the alternator?

Lets start from the begining. Does the vehicle have a serpentine drive belt or regular v belts? What size engine? The eighth letter of the vin number? Does it have ac?

there are 4 v belts one water pump to alt one water pmp to air pmp one water pmp to a/c compressor and this one water pmp to pwr steering pmp the 8th letter of the vin is an e hope that helps some I mat be able to upload a pic not sure how tho

Yes it looks like that the #3 bolts have to come out? They are behind the pulley and the rear ajd brackett is hard to make out still looking for that in the motor do you have to remove the bolts from the rear brackett and front brackett?
