I CANT GET MY REAR DEFROSTER TO WORK. WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE TAKING IT IN?

You could check to see if there is power to the defroster grid. It is possible to have a radio antenna module problem. It is mounted by the rear glass, it splits the antenna signal from the defroster. You could also have a control head issue.
