2002 Oldsmobile Alero P0300 error code

I have p0300 error code on my car. What is definate thing I need to fix for this to go away. Ive heard many things but what is the exact thing I need to fix for this problem to be fixed

Hi:
It sounds like there is a problem with the O2 sensor. The only way to be sure is to have the sensor checked. It may be good and something may be wrong with the circuit. I wish I could be more confident and say replace the sensor, but it may not be the problem. The codes provided only point you in the direction of the problem.
