I had the same problem with my 2001 Alero. The problem is that the bundle of wires leading to the hub assembly on the front right or left wheel is has a broken wire.
My Alero would have the trac off, abs light and service vehicle soon light come on whenever I would turn. I had the wire replaced and havent had a problem since.
