2001 Oldsmobile Alero Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100000 miles

the car ran out of gas and now that we've put gas into it, it still doesn't start. Is there anything special to get it started again?

Hello,

When you turn the key to the on position can you hear the Fuel Pump turn on for about 2 seconds?
