the brake lights on the rear window work but not the brake lights on the car I changed the fuses and bulbs

Use a testlite on the bulb socket, have a helper step on the brake, see if there is any voltage. If you want to probe the wire, for the left side, should be dark blue.

The circuits are wired through the left i/p junction block.
