2000 Oldsmobile Alero oil dis color

I had the water pump replaced and thermastat
engine runs but I notice the oil was creamie color not clear what can be wrong.

Creamy brown right? Almost like caramel? Engine oil is never clear. After 3,000 miles its almost black. Thats why its critical to have it changed. If you have coolant mixing with your oil, its easily identifed in your coolant. Check your expansion tank for oil residue. As far as draining your oil, and being able to identify coolant in the oil, id be safe to say thats almost impossible by the naked eye. Thats why companys have oil samples taken on there vehicles. Best bet if your unsure is check your expansion tank. Hope this helps.

Having this done sounds like the engine overheated-coolant is mixing with the oil-have it check for a blown headgasket, cracked head or block and an intake leak-
