1999 Oldsmobile Alero Windows don't work

I recently bought a 99 alero, but none of the windows work except the drivers. The previous owner said something about it being the "clips". That they had been broken. Also, the driver's side window only works sometimes. What could this be?

Most probably, your little electrical motors that drive the windows, need brush replacement. If you are a handy man, you can do it yourself and save a lot of money. Brushes worn out are a very common problem on American made cars.
