1999 Oldsmobile Alero belt tensioner

Just had to have the head seals and water gaskets for thermostat and now the battery lite comes on after 2 min and stays on. I checked at Advance Auto and everything is fine except a small wobble in the tensioner. Is this the solution to the battery lite coming on and the rattling noise on idle?

That may very well be the case, if you dont have that good tension on the alternator, or its wobbling or whatever, then the battery light will come on. Because your not getting the proper charge, even if the charge is off by a fraction of a volt, you can have a problem.
