1992 Oldsmobile 98 removal of rearview mirror mount

I'm an idiot. After my rearview mirror fell off, I attempted to re-attach it using the correct adhesive. Them I glued the darn mount on backwards. Not upside down, but backwards. How can I remove it without cracking the windshield or stabbing my arm with the knife I was using to pry it off? (Reference my first sentence)
