1996 Oldsmobile 88 not staying running

1996 Oldsmobile 88 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I need to know what would cause my vehicle to start and idle for a few seconds then die and thats all the vehicle does no matter what you do I can hold the gas pedal down and it will still die could this be the fuel pressure reg

Welcome, I'd use a gage and check fuel pressure. 3.8, 48--55 psi key on engine off. After you start the vehicle, the pressure will drop a little. When you kill it, the pressure should hold. How long since a tune-up? Where applicable, you might unplug the cam sensor, see if it will stay running?
