Just purchased and the car keeps stalling at lower speeds and when stopped! Check engine lite keeps comming on and going off! Traction control keeps turning itself off and on. Cruise works sometimes and sometimes it doesn`t. Took back to dealer and his mechanic cleaned the idle air control and it ran fine for two days so I replaced with new one and it started stalling again. Put old one back in and ran fine for a while. Sometimes runs fine then other times starts acting up! Engine runs great at high speeds and seems very sound but I have noticed right before it stalls while stopped the rpm needle flucuates right before it stalls. My mechanic did get it to stall but can`t figure out WHY! Could the brain or a chip of some sort be going bad? Thanks, Kevin.

I've had trouble with the Ignition Control Module on those cars. It's mounted under the coil pack. This module also controls the tachometer. Not a sure thing but a possibility. If changing the IAC solenoid or simply cleaning it helped temporarily, perhaps there is a bad connection at the solenoid and agitating it makes contact until you drive it some and then it acts up again. Try wiggling the wires at the solenoid and see if that changes the way it runs at all. Be sure to check it with it running. If not, repost and we'll try something else.
