Gas tank has a crack and car stalls when stopping

My vehicle stalls a lot at stop lights and stop signs. Also, my gas tank the intake for the crack on the gas tank. Is a problem? My gas tank cracked underneath the seat. How is that possible?

Have you checked to see if the computer has any codes yet? Also are you talking about the nipple on the top of the fuel pump module cracking? If so a lot of different make cars crack there. It is plastic age fuel going through they crack pretty common.

For your stalling I would recommend you clean out the throttle body using a clean rag and some throttle cleaner. As for the fuel leak, call the dealer to see what the emissions warranty is on your vehicle and what is covered. You never know, you may still be covered. Especially if it is the fuel pump. Some manufactures have a ten year warranty on it.
