Since the oil sensor warning came up on the dash saying, "Oil Sensor Service Now".
Then I replaced the oil level sensor with a new one and it's gone for two weeks and started to show the warning info again. Then I changed the oil filter and new oil in, still showing the warning info, So, I am just asking if there is any other oil sensor that needs to replace or due to service?

Hi,

The oil sensor is the oil level thermal sensor. However, they are not used in the US or Canada. Are you located in either of the countries I indicated?

If you look at the pic below, is that the component you replaced?

Let me know.

Joe

Thanks Joe, I'm in New Zealand and that's the sensor I've replaced. So, are there any other sensor that needs a service?

Hi,

That is the one I suspected you replaced. There is no other one. You may have simply gotten a bad sensor.

What is the exact message you are getting? Have you tried to check for diagnostic trouble codes?

Let me know.

I've reset the car system by the steering control, it's the oil service and it's gone now, hopefully it will not warn again. I run the scan tool and found no code. I will let you know again tomorrow if it doesn't comes up again.

Hi,

Thank you for the update. Hopefully, it was just a service indicator/reminder. Let me know how things turn out. I'm interested in knowing.

Take care,

Joe

I've been driving today in multiple places, and I stopped a lot, turned off and started again and it didn't come back. So, it was probably just a reminder for a service.
