I sometimes have my oil light and temperature light come on at the same time then lose pressure on the gauge until I step on the gas then its fine. And now it ticks bad for a few minutes when I first start it.

Hi,

If you are hearing a ticking when the light comes on, it could be low oil pressure. Here is what I suggest. Contact a local parts store and ask if they could lend you a mechanical oil pressure gauge for testing.

If you get one, remove the electrical oil pressure switch and attach the mechanical one. Then restart the engine and check the pressure.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions. Also, let me know if you ever heard any ticking when the gauge dropped.

Take care,

Joe
