Can a loose timing chain is issue with low oil error and temperature gauge not working properly

Dash light says high temperature low oil, have oil and it's not running hot. When I drive it for a while it say that and also the oil temperature gauge drops all the way down to low when I stop. I believe my timing chain is loose. Can that be the reason or not?

Hello,

How many miles does it have? This sounds like the oil pump pickup screen might be clogged. I would remove the oil pressure sender and install a manual gauge to see what the pressure is. Here is ath location of the sender you can rent a gauge from the auto parts store for cheap. The pressure should never go below 20 PSI (hot). Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
