2003 Ford Expedition guages go nuts

Lately my truck has been hesitant to start and the guages on the dash go all the way to the highest mark. The trip odometer is not reading correctly. The temp guage is al not reading correctly. When the car is running, the battery guage is in the middle.

Does it happen all the time or adter a rain storm or car truck gets wet if its ll the time probably a short in the wiring it its happening after a rain storm then water is getting behind the dash and shorting it out if you recently had a new windshield installed I would check for water I had same problem with a expedition and it was a bad windshield installation
