Do I have to remove the lower engine mount to remove the oil pan?

See pics for removal says you have to remove one strut for engine.

I am confused now. I have looked at my chilton manual for this and it does not say anything about removing the drive belt, the ac compressor connector, or the engine mount. I also looked on ehow. Com and it also did not say to remove those. If I do have to remove those how would I support the engine?

It's engine mount strut where mount connects. You support engine either by crank in front or on top with a chain bolted to engine with a either a 2x4 or 4x4 across inner fender bolts to hold it in place.
