I never saw a sign of an oil leak until yesterday. I went to lunch and while out I happen to hit a curb in a parking lot, don't know if this matters but I returned to work and a coworker about 10 mins later said to me that he saw oil dripping from my car. I went to the local shop bought a couple bottles of oil to get me home and when I got home again oil was dripping onto the ground from the car. There is oil around the valve cover, can a bad valve gasket cause a loss of that much oil, or could I have hit something when I went up on the curb?

Have your oil pan checked for a crack or hole due to hitting parking block
