Oil leak

My geo has been leaking oil pretty bad lately there's oil all over the alternator I was thinking a front main seal but I'm not sure the leak is coming from the front of the engine and I don't wanna buy a part I don't need any help will be great thanks

Without actually being able to put my eyes on it. It will be hard for me to say what it is you should do. I will tell you what I usually tell my customers When it comes to an old engine with oil leaks. Its best to just start at the top with valve cover gasket(s) and pcv valve, and work your way down with other gaskets that may leak such as the front/rear main seal, oil pan, oil pressure switch, power steering hoses, and etc.
