Hello I bought a 2005 dodge stratus v6 automatic. The guy that I bought it from said that it was leaking oil. I took a look at it and I found out that the oil pan had a small crack on it. I thought that would be an easy fix. Well it turns out that I was checking if there was anything else wrong and I saw the water tank black. I tried filling the tank with water to take the oil out but the water kept on pouring out and the oil kept coming up. I am no mechanic and hardly have any idea of what could be the problem. I really appreciate any help.

Thanks

Did you test drive it before you bought it? Maybe it's a gasket problem and nothing cracked? Your saying the coolant recovery bottle for the radiator has oil in it, and the more you add coolant, the higher the reading on the oil dip stick?

The coolant is pouring out from where?

I wouldn't drive it till you fix it. Then drain the oil and change the oil filter, if coolant in the oil, change the oil as many times as necessary to the coolant out of it, after you fix it.
