I've changed the spark plugs the valve cover and valve cover gasket and oil is still getting in my spark plug wells only when I make a complete stop that it hesitates no engine light. I am lost don't know what it could be.

Hello,

I would double check the valve cover gasket. It almost certainly has to be coming from there. The only other thing it could be is a cracked cylinder head in the well itself, and I would find that extremely unlikely. Please let us know what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex

When I ask the mechanic if he could put permatex on the gasket he said it didn't need it. I think that is what the problem is because the valve cover comes with seals for the spark plug wells.

Hello again,

Sorry I didn't get this the first time, but Im glad that you asked that question because in the Nissan Factory Rocker Cover Gasket Exploded Diagram that I have sent you in the diagrams down below it says that RTV is to be used when installing the gasket. Please keep us informed on how things are progressing.

Thanks,
Alex
