Occurs when it is warm and stopped at a light.
I am thinking this is just a sending unit problem vs oil pump and plan on driving until I can fix it.

Hi,

When this happens, are there any engine noises such as knocking or ticking? If not, chances are the sensor is going bad. They can start to leak (often times where the connector is plugged in) causing this

I attached the directions for replacing the sensor. This is certainly where I would start.

Let me know if this helps.

Joe

Don,

You are very welcome. I did have an afterthought. If you are concerned about pressure, go to a parts store and get a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Most stores will lend one to you. Remove the electrical sender and install the mechanical to confirm pressure.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Take care,

Joe
