Oil change

We only drive it around 100 miles per month. I have always used synthetic oil and changed at least every six months. Can I wait longer than six months? It seems a waste to change every 600 miles.

In my shop, we provide the following recommendations. Chance oil ever 5,000 miles or one year (whichever comes first). I agree with your concerns. To me, it does sound wasteful.
