Oil blowing out in engine compartment

I just changed the oil and drove it from my barn to the garage. About an hour later we were going somewhere and started up car. As I was backing out of garage oil was going everywhere. I put it back on lift and checked everything I did. The oil nut was tight and the oil cap was ok. I started up car and oil started coming from under cover on top of engine. Not the first cover that you remove to get to the oil filter but the back cover the larger one of the two. Have any ideas? My wife reset the service indicator read out on dash after I did the oil change and had it in the garage.

MAYBE YOU CRACKED/ SPLIT THE COVER OR PINCHED THE GASKET

A TINY HOLE/ SPLIT UNDER OIL OIL PRESSURE MIGHT SQUIRT A "HYPODERMIC" SIZED STREAM OF OIL A GOOD DISTANCE TO A NEARBY LOCATION (WHERE IT REALLY SHOWS UP!)

I'VE SEEN OIL PRESSURE SENDERS GO BAD (BETWEEN THE PLASTIC AND METAL) AND SHOOT A SPIDER WEB SIZED STREAM ACROSS THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT TO AN AREA WHERE THERE IS NOTHING OIL RELATED LOCATED. SORTA MAKES YOU SCRATCH YOUR HEAD FOR A MINUTE, TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY THAT PART SEEMS TO BE LEAKING OIL.

We found out what happen. The O ring on filter was not on correctly. We had a mess to clean up. I'm just glad it wasn't anything else. Degreased the engine and cleaned up everything and it all good now. Thanks for your ideas. I was worried it was a hose or something else. One thing I can say make sure the O rings are on correct. I'll watch that from know on you can count on it.

A MILD HEART HEMORRHAGE WHEN IT 1st LOOKED REALLY BAD, NOW IT'S LIKE YOU TOOK AN ALKA SELTZER AND FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!
