It is advised that all hardware be replaced when installing suspension. Or anything, for that matter. The problem is finding out what size and type of fastener is a match in size and variety and equal or greater in strength, durability and corrosion resistance. How do I find out without removing the bolt and taking to the hardware or auto parts stores? I have found bolts online that are a match for the part number but no size or details were given. It is the control arm bolt that must be screwed into the frame, long enough with correct threads that is of conern. But their are other nuts that are vital as well Thanks!

Is there a reason you are changing all the hardware or did someone tell you to just replace it when you replace the control arm?

In other words, is there a problem with it like was it in an accident or are the bolts stripped or rounded off?

If there is no issues then you can reuse all the bolts and nuts. I can probably count on 2 hands the number of times I replaced all the nuts and bolts when replacing these control arms.

As for the sizes of the nuts and bolts, we don't have the sizes in the manual that we have so your best bet to find these is to check with the dealer and they can actually look up the part numbers of the bolts.

However, I attached the process below of the lower control arm and as you will see on the first attachment it says that you must use the correct bolts "if replacement is necessary" so I is not something that must be replaced.

Let us know if you have other questions and sorry we don't have this level of detail in the manual.
