Last week I was running extremely low on gas and my car stalled out right in front of my house. Thank God. I have put a decent amount of gas in it that day and it wouldn't start again. I had a mechanic tell me that my starter was sounding like it was bad, so I replaced it. I had O'Reilly's check my battery out and they said it was bad, so I replaced it as well. When I turn the ignition it is trying to start but it's just not firing up. I am at a loss and out of ideas. Any idea what it could be?

So, is the engine cranking over okay or is the starter not working? Can you turn the key on without cranking the engine over and can you hear the fuel pump in the tank turn on?
