I have the vehicle listed above sedan. Vehicle doesn't seem to be able to idle above 2500 RPMs even with the pedal pushed to the floor it still will not go above 2500 RPMs. When the engine is turned off and then I restart is attempted it takes a significant amount of time for the engine to turn over and for the engine to begin to fire up. Normally when you hit the push start button the engine will really fire it up and start right away. But now it takes about 10 seconds of turnover before the engine actually fires up. My question is on the high pressure fuel pump under the hood is it normal to see oil in this area "engine oil"this thing comes directly off the fuel line so I would assume only fuel should be present in this area and I'm trying to verify if this is true or not. I have a weird feeling that someone may have poured oil inside of my fuel tank and attempt to sabotage my vehicle or am I just being paranoid? Thanks. Please refer to the pictures for an example of what I'm visually seeing under my hood.

Yep, that is possible, you can have oil leak from the pump if it went bad though. I would lean more towards a bad HPFP especially when the engine will not go over 2500 RPM and hard starting. You can open the fuel cap and look down inside the filler tube with a flashlight to see if you can find traces of engine oil just incase. It is pretty easy to change the HPFP out, just bleed the fuel pressure slowly and have a shop towel ready to soak up the fuel. This diagram should help you do the job. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see.
