There was a huge thunderstorm last night and I couldn't really see where I was going. I ended up driving through a very deep puddle. Once I got through the car kind of shuddered lost all power and then died. It also made kind of a clanking popping sound. The car won't start now and I believe that the oil pan is cracked. I'm not sure how that I happened I didn't hit anything but the water. Is the oil pan the only problem or could I have bigger problems with the engine?

I would take it a proper shop and have them examine everything. If the puddle was big enough, you could have sucked in water through the intake and it may be waterlogged. Water inside the engine is very detrimental. I would also have them take the giant plastic panel that these vehicles have underneath I double check and make sure nothing is damaged.
