No takeoff power from stop

Truck will not take off fast lv check comp good replaced cam and lifters new dist and wires plugs timing gears and chain fuel pump new reves up good in park put in gear willnot hardly go trans changes after get going its a stock 305 with 4 barrel can sombody outthere help me

If the carb hasn't been overhauled that is more than likely the problem also the trans cable has to be adjust so pressure will increase as you speed up. It also may be the torque converter clutch not unlocking. You didn't put model so i'm assuming its an impala. See pic for adjustment
