I just replaced the ignition cylinder and my van started three times. Took a break and one hour later I have a no crank no start condition. Tried to jump the battery still no crank no start.

Could it be the new cylinder? Or just my battery?

How do I reset the sec system just in case that's it?

Update: I removed the new ignition cylinder and put the old back in and it works. Started right up.

The new key needs to be coded for the car. The dealer can do it before you install it if you bring your VIN number with you and proof of ownership. When the car would not start did the security light flash?
