No power when it warms up

My blazer has no power when you step on the gas after it warms up an the voltage needle is going up an down not charging the battery when you step on the gas

This sounds like it can be two separate problems, the low power sounds like the cat can be plugged while the voltage meter problem sounds like the alternator is going out, here are links to check both
