No power to stereo or clock

I went to change my stereo out and put in a new aftermarket version. Upon doing so I heard a slight zap sound from one of the wires I had harnessed in. (Note: I did not take off the stock plastic piece harnessing the wires, rather bought an adapter and then connected those wires to the stereo wires.) Ever since the zap I have had zero power to both my stereo and my digital clock. I checked the fuse box under the hood and all of the fuses were perfectly fine, also the fuse in the stereo is perfectly fine. Why do I not have power anymore and how do I fix it?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com.

It sounds like you took out a fuse either under the dash or if the new system has an inline fuse, it may have blown. Check the fuse box under the dash. I attached a picture of the fuse box and then a legend of the audio fuses. Check that first. I mention this because you said you checked fuses under the hood.

Let me know if this helps.
