I am getting no power to the front blower motor. I know the blower motor itself is still good, the resistor is still good, and the fuses/relays all tested good. I am unsure as to how power flows from the fuse box to the blower motor. Is it possible that power flows through the climate control module and that is what went bad?

Hi,

Power goes from the fuse to the blower motor control module. From there, the HVAC controller provides a ground path.

I attached the wiring schematic below. Let me know if that helps or if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe

The wiring diagram is very helpful. So, from what I can tell, I am getting no power voltage reading on the wire from the fuse box to the blower motor control module, but my fuse is good, and I have even switched the 40-amp fuse with another 40-amp fuse. Do I just have a bad wire? Any additional things I should try to do?

Is there power at the fuse? I ask because power for the HVAC blower motor fuse is direct from the battery to the fuse box. If there is no power in the fuse box, but the other things near it do have power, either we have a corrosion issue, a faulty connector pin, or the fuse box is bad.

See pic below. It's from the power distribution schematic.

Let me know.

Yes, there is power at the fuse. And I have tested the fuse, and have even swapped the fuse with another fuse to make sure its not a fuse issue.

Hi,

If there is no power at the module, then as you mentioned, the wire must be damaged. I would disconnect the battery and remove the fuse box to make sure there is nothing damaged on the back side out.

Let me know.

Today I lifted the fuse box and removed the wire harnesses from the back of it. I inspected the applicable wire and wiggled it around a little bit, but I didn't notice anything that looked bad. I then put everything back in place. Somehow this fixed the problem because I then tested the wire at the blower, and it registered 12v. The blower is running now as it should.

Hi,

Thanks for the update. I'm glad to know it's working for you. As far as the wire, something wasn't making a good enough connection. Most likely, it was at the box.

Take care of yourself and feel free to come back anytime in the future. You are always welcome here.

Joe
