Hello,

When your vehicle's engine has a high RPM's it is usually due to a vacuum or intake leak. An intake leak is defined as letting unmetered air into the engine from the Mass Air Flow sensor[MAF to the engine's combustion chamber. Unmetered air is any airflow that the Power-train Control Module[PCM], or computer, has not accounted for.
