My mom has an 03' alero and all the lights work except when you apply brake. Countless hours of trying to repair it and still nothing. We have checked all fuses, plunger and the second one under the brake pedal. Both switches under pedal have been replaced and all fuses work. How can we fix the wiring. We have done a diagnostic test and nothing. Tested all electricity with meter amp, brand new plunger and switch under brake pedal, checked fuses and bulbs.

Check to see if there is power to the back if not check to see if it is going through the multi function switch it may not be. If you get power to the back at bulb then check to see why the ground is bad as that may also be the problem.

Everything from that works. Where can I find the wires to see if there is a problem there?

Everything from where works? Taillight wires may be behind apanel in trunk or along the trunk in back. If your turn signals work then it is probably the multi function switch is bad and not allowing the power through to the lights. The high brake light is wired direct from barkelight switch.
